Bio

Hi! My name is Kristina Owen, and I’m a full time professional Nordic skier.  I ski for Team CXC Vertical Limit, a regionally based post-collegiate Olympic development team.

I really do love my job.  How could I not, when I basically just go play in the woods all day?  No, in actuality, there’s a little more to it than that.  Besides just the training, pro nordic skiers travel across the country, racing and acting as ambassadors of the sport.  On top of that, I also spend a significant amount of time putting on technique clinics, coaching at camps, and writing articles.

I love it all, and can’t imagine my life without skiing.  Even when my racing days are over, I want to somehow continue to share this enthusiasm.  My end goal is to end up as a coach, ideally right back at my Alma Mater Michigan Tech!

If you want to contact me, my email address is ko@kristinaowen.com
